Redeem a voucher - Lightning
Azteco lightning vouchers have either a QR code or a 16-digit code:
If your Azteco lightning voucher has a QR code, you need to:
- Launch your bitcoin wallet app.
- Select “Receive” to scan a QR code.
- Scan the QR code on your voucher to receive your bitcoin.
If your Azteco lightning voucher has a 16-digit code, you need to:
- Visit azte.co
- Enter your 16-digit voucher code to receive a QR code.
- Launch your bitcoin wallet app and select “Receive” to scan a QR code.
- Scan the QR code to receive your bitcoin.
If you’re viewing an Azteco lightning voucher on a mobile device, you can just tap on the voucher to launch your bitcoin wallet app.
Azteco lightning vouchers use the Bitcoin Lightning Network to transfer your bitcoin.
- Lightning transactions are completed in a few seconds and network processing fees are typically less than a few cents.
- Lightning transactions are quicker and less expensive than on-chain transactions. However, not all bitcoin wallets support lightning today. See our list of suggested bitcoin wallets for more details.
